Character Design: Walt and Jane

As many of you know I am a self-proclaimed writer of short fiction, a strange motley of poetry, and ominous un-finished novels.
Sometimes, what I do to "Get the creative juices flowing,"  (quoting my mother there) I draw the characters I'm working with.
Here is an example of sed-character-design.

This Walt and Jane.
They're both 11 at the moment.
Walt is probably insane. He is a fanatic artist who goes on many strange artistic escapades (such as building a sculpture out of crayons and melted cheese)  and Jane is his temporary accomplice:)

The Making of Movies

As the deadline for my animation project is coming faster than a speeding bullet (I'm kidding, but really....) I've been spending quite a bit of time  in this exact place in my room.
I started out animating it all on the computer (After Effects cc 2015) but, alas, it was just looking wrong on the computer. The story line has a lot to do with the characters being "doodles" and when I would draw them on the computer, they just didn't look like doodles at all.
I switched to making it a chalk board animation, which is so so so much fun!!Now I get to work with my chalk board wall, rather than staring at the computer. So it all kinda works out:)
(P.S. the toilet paper roll is for erasing things...if you were wondering...which you probably weren't;P)

Blogger Fan-art: Lazy Obsession

At the moment, my biggest fashion inspiration would definitely be Miss Nasreen (Naz) Osman from http://www.lazyobsession.com/
Her style is very chill and laid back but also very put together and strictly fabulous. Definitely a style goal for Fall;P

Blogger Fan-art: Skunkboy

One of my absolute favorite bloggers is Miss Katie from http://www.skunkboyblog.com/
I've been following her for a while, and if you asked me a year ago "what I wanted to be when I grow up?" I would have probably have said her:D We're both red-heads, we're both musicians, we're both etsy addicts...
Anyhoo... I thought it would be a ton of fun to illustrate her, and I was right!
You should giver her blog a look-see, you'll thank me:)
I couldn't stop at just illustrating Katie, so I also drew her two adorable kiddos:)

Fine Art Stuffs and Practice

As a true artist, I have decided it is time to branch out of my normal cartooney illustrated style and dabble in more of the "fine arts" per say...
I have discovered I can draw feet rather well...which is so strange

A Fashion Illustrator?

Yes, yes lately I've been getting back into doing fashion illustrations.
I'm telling myself that this is NOT a relapse to my twelve-year-old-high-fashion-crazed self, but I'm still not sure if that's true;)
This was brought on by the recent discovery of an old sketchbook of mine with a motley of outfits I drew back in middle school, and -well- I've improved a lot since then...I might just do a post soon where I re-draw some of the real embarrassing ones:)
This is an illustration I just did of Alice Young for her blog.(http://www.thevelvetblack.co.uk/)

Summer

And last, but most certainly not least here is Amelia in the Summer!
She's been awful inspired by the beach fashion of the 1930's:)

Winter

At the moment I'm attempting to illustrate a set of cards with this girl (the name's Amelia) in all four seasons.
Stay tuned!
