An Illustration and an Update:)

Hello and how do you do!
Here's another self-portrait-type-illustration I just finished up, perhaps one of these days I will draw someone without ginger locks, but today is not that day;)
Just a quick update, I just started college classes (French, pre-calc- and figure drawing if you're curious) This fall is portfolio prep so get ready for some more posts on that!
Thanks for sticking about and see you again very soon!

When Vincent Met Color

Hello there! Here's a little project I just finished. I'm fascinated with sequential art and wordless storytelling so I just had to try my hand at it.
The "Vincent" is, in fact, Vincent Van Gogh. As much as this is a slightly silly boy-meets-girl scenario, it's also a slight nod to the fact that Van Gogh didn't find his love for color until he was 30 years old.  I think I speak for the entire world when I say that there was never a combination better than Van Gogh + Color:)

A Motley Collection

Why hello! I hope you're doing just jazzy:) Here's a fairy moon queen, I used traditional acrylics which makes me want to do more traditional art now.
This is a little fan-nart I did of Mandy Lee from Misterwives.
I recently listened to the musical "Dear Even Hansen" it was so beautiful I just had to draw this...
Here's a pretty picture of my wall!
And I did a cover of one of my favorite songs ever:) Here's the youtube link it would mean the world to me if you checked it out:)
It was good to see ya'! Hope to catch up soon:)

Doodle Song

Hello there!
This past week, I had an overwhelming urge to animate somethin' , anything, and the result of this was this lil' music video!   I can't get the video player to work on blogger, so I'll link it right
It would mean the world to me if you checked it out! I'm still figuring out my labyrinth of programs and equipment I've somehow acquired, so the resolution and size ended up a bit weird. BUT now I know what to do differently next time;) You learn more from mistakes than successes.
Thanks again, and who knows? Maybe I'm going to start blogging regularly again? (Don't believe me unless I do!)

Oh Hello Again

Hello! And again, It has been too long. A lot has been happening and I have by no means stopped drawing! Our fam just got a new (and amazing) camera and I suddenly remembered, "I have a blog!" So here I am.

March 21st was my 17th birthday, and I made "galaxy doughnuts" which more looked like tye-dye doughnuts
Then that night I went to see Panic! at the Disco and Saint Motel and Misterwives!
This year I've been in a speech and debate club, so I'm been going to a ton of tournament and such for that! Not my comfort zone, which makes it all the more exciting:)

Did I do a blog post about my Scholastic Award? Last month I won two regional gold medals in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, that just a couple weeks ago I found out the I won the national gold medal for film/animation!

Also, I've been going to life-drawing classes, which have been super fun.

Oh yes, I was in a production of Shakespeare's "the Tempest" as Sephano, the drunk butler

I took these photos on my ipod 4th, so sorry about the resolution.
back to the DSLR.

Just a casual DSLR selfie.

If you made it to the end of this post, wow, I am impressed. Thanks for putting up with this spam post!
This is basically the past two months of my life in an un-organized set of pictures;)
Hopefully I'll start blogging again, but don't believe me until I do it!
See you soon!

The Grand San Francisco Excursion

hello there! I just got back from San Fransisco, and needless to say it was incredible.
If I could I would take every single one of you to San Fran to show you just how amazing it was but unfortunately I lack the financial resources.
Thus
Second best, here's a photo tour of my trip:)
(photo spam warning)
After Many Hours, we finally made it to the city, our hotel was in the heart of downtown, Union Square.
First order of business was a cable car ride to Fisherman's Wharf
This is my adorable sister Natalie, who makes balancing on the cable-car look easy (it wasn't).

We got dinner at The Chart House with  stunning view of Alcatraz. I ordered Swordfish, which was quite interesting. I don't know if I recommend it.

Visited the birthplace of some of the best chocolate in the world.

Lombard Street, also called the crookedest street in the world.
We then visited the De Young Museum, which was beyond incredible.

Bought a button for the collection at the Amoeba Records on Haight-Ashberry Street.
The houses were my favorite part. They were so unique and beautiful I could look at them all day.
The Crosswalks on Castro Street were rainbows:)

We walked to City Light Books, the home of the Beat Poets.

We don't have In and Out burger in Washington, so we decided to give it a try.

This was probably my favorite part of the Trip. We got a guided Tour of the San Francisco Art Institute, which was literally a magical land of Art. It felt like Disney-Land for artists...

This was the room in which I got my portfolio evaluation done.
 The painting studio.

The roof had the best view of San Francisco I saw all week.

We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. An experience I recommend to each one of you to do before you die.

 The Robin Williams Tunnel:)
The view on the drive home was the perfect finish.
San Francisco, it's been real.
Hope to see you again soon.
